Even 5 years later, the sadness overwhelms me. The families of these young men still hurt from the senseless act of violence on them and our UNCC community. A friend’s son was in that classroom and fortunately escaped, but the emotional toll on him and the other students and faculty member in that room wears on. Prayers today this never happens again.
